Community First offers a range of programs including the Transitional Youth Program, Job Development, Special Olympics, and the People First Advocacy Group.
The Transitional Youth Program supports students aged 14–22 from Highland, Clinton, and Brown counties, including those who are home-schooled. Participants engage in Pre-Employment Transition Services through Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), which include modules in self-advocacy, job exploration, workplace readiness, work-based learning, and post-secondary counseling. Transition Coordinators guide students through these modules to prepare them for employment or further education.
Summer Youth Work Experience provides employment experience opportunities, through placements at local businesses such as Highland County YMCA, Ponderosa, Hillsboro Elks Golf Course, and Southern State Community College. Upon completing Pre-Employment Transition Services, students continue to receive support from OOD to secure employment within the community if needed.
